We Finally Have a Butler!

Usually, after a high school party at our house, we have the pleasure of finding empty bottles scattered on the perimeter of our yard. The other day we of course found those - but also this handsome fellow.

So now we are truly fancy and have our own butler.

Almost There!

Not much longer 'til Jack is off to GMU (sniff, sniff). Yesterday, we went to his orientation (a bit of a snoozefest but at least we got a cute picture out of it). Next step, move-in day! Next step after that? Mom buys camo outfits so I can hide in the bushes outside his dorm.

Kidding.

Mostly.

Clever Girl

I had just one request. Just one. Just stay off the kitchen counters.

You can go anywhere else in the house - anywhere, I say!

Just stay off the kitchen counters.

And for the most part, she kinda sorta kinda does. At least when we're around.

But now she's discovered the top of the cabinets and pantry.

Which, well, ok, I guess.

But guess how she GETS up there.

Kitchen counters.

Just Chilling

Chilling with the hubby at a local winery....

Chilling with Jack at his soon-to-be-new home
Chilling with the cat - or rather, she's chilling while I try to exercise
And chilling with the girlies on our girls' day out

Happy Crab Day, I Mean, Independence Day

Once a year we celebrate something very important. You know, in addition to the independence of our great nation. It's the one time a year we splurge and pay a small fortune on a yummy, steaming bushel of blue crabs. They're oh-so-expensive these days, but oh so worth it.

Just look at those babies.

Oh, and we also had fun at the Independence Day celebration at Peter and Robyn's.

The boys especially loved getting together - after the party, a bunch of them (let's see, Robert, Craig, Ryan, William, Matthew, Michael, and Spencer) slept over at our house to extend the fun a bit.
