Grandmom celebrated her 85th birthday, and the Candlands put on quite the week of events, from casual BBQs to a fancy lunch at the Jefferson Hotel. It was great to see most of the siblings and to pamper Grandmom a little bit. Happy birthday, Grandmom!

We had some warm days and opened up the pool - and now it's 56 degrees, so it's not getting much use. Even with a heated pool, it's a little chilly. But once it warms up a bit, we're good to go! Oh, and look at that tasty steak with chimichurri sauce that Jared grilled up on this fine, warm day.
We took Ellie on a road trip down to visit Radford University. It's actually quite a pretty campus, and I think it's one of Ellie's favorites right now.

Prom 2024 is now in the books! Ellie had a great time with her friends - photos at the Lincoln Memorial, dinner, prom, party, and sleepover. But unfortunately for Mom, she didn't love her photos, so I only got a handful. Here goes!
